History
Morris College is a Historical Black College located in Sumter, South Carolina. It was established in the year 1908 by the Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention. Its purpose is to educate young African Americans in numerous majors such as Cyber Security, Criminal Justice, Biology, Mathematics, and etc. In 1982 the institution became the 42nd Historical Black College to become a member of the United Negro College Fund.
Its previous president Dr. Luns C. Richardson was the longest serving president for Historical Black Colleges for a total of 42 years. Its current president is Dr. Leroy Staggers.
